My sister Dory was the inspiration for this Log Cabin quilt design. She has always been into American history and had just finished reading a book about John Adams at the time.
Several years ago I started quilting. I was a new mom with some extra time on my hands and was looking for a creative outlet. I bought a sewing machine, scrounged up some fabric, and pieced together my first quilt with the help of a quilting specialist friend.
Since that time I have created several quilts and countless other sewing related projects. I am NOT an expert but rather a girl with a love of fabric, and eye for detail, and a talent for following instructions.
A wise woman once told me that, "life is a grand adventure". I believe it, and I live for it. This blog is dedicated to the people, experiences, and adventures that I am fortunate enough to share my life with. There will be kids, stories, insights, random thoughts, and the occasional project thrown in the mix. Of course, at the center of my adventures lie my husband Christian and kids Cali, Carter, & Caleb. Or, as they are frequently referred as, the Wild Meowzers.

I totally love the colors of this one. I always like log cabin patterns. They are so traditions and Americana in and of themselves. Gorgeous work!
This should go to the county fair. I will come and vote for "Fan Favorite"
I feel a little left out; Dory, Brandt, and what about Bethany. I feel a camoflouge quilt coming my way! jk
